This work was inspired by the Dutch "pronkstilleven" an early style of ornate still life painting. Also, with the pig's head in the center, it's reminiscent of Frans Snyders' hunting scenes. This was a collaboration with Sarah Derer, a Chicago based photographer and food stylist.
